Study Operate a mobile chipper/mulcher at Interlink
Operate a mobile chipper/mulcher (FWPHAR2206) gives you the skill to chip or mulch timber waste using a mobile chipping or mulching unit. Mobile mulchers and chippers allow you to clean up branches and other tree refuse left after felling operations effectively, with limited disturbance to soil and remaining plant life.
Learn to set up and carry out pre-operational safety checks and to identify any maintenance needs. Determine the capacity of your equipment and what tree and branch types are suitable for chipping or mulching.
What do I get for completing Operate a mobile chipper/mulcher?
Completing Interlink’s course meets the national requirements for the accredited Unit of Competency (FWPHAR2206).
Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) (TLILIC2005) is a competency within the Certificate III in Arboriculture as well as the Certificate II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control. It’s a step closer to your nationally recognised qualification.
