Written assessments test your knowledge of key learning outcomes including:

- The safe shifting and handling of tools and materials
- Safe working practices and methods
- Using safety equipment/systems such as fall protection.
Practical assessments assess your ability to demonstrate performance criteria such as:
- Interpreting and applying technical and safety information for working at heights
- Assessing hazards and implementing risk control strategies
- Selecting and fitting personal protective equipment
- Identifying safety systems, including fall protection
- Checking that the fitting and anchoring of fall protection and equipment is secure and correct
- Completing work at a height on at least one occasion.
Assessment are conducted within realistic, workplace settings and are held over the duration of the unit.
