Entry-Level Training for Employment
Interlink Training is an approved Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) delivering subsidised training under the Queensland Government’s Career Start program.
Career Start supports eligible Queenslanders to gain nationally recognised qualifications through apprenticeships, providing practical, workplace-based training aligned to industry needs.

We currently deliver the following qualification under the apprenticeship pathway:
This qualification provides skills for employment in the arboriculture industry, including tree care, maintenance, and removal operations.

Eligibility
To access Career Start funding, you must:
- Be employed as an apprentice under a registered training contract
- Permanently reside in Queensland
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or eligible visa holder
- Meet any qualification-specific requirements
Eligibility will be confirmed prior to enrolment.
Student Co-Contribution Fee
As required by the Queensland Government:

$1.60 per nominal hour

This fee is set by the Department and applies to all apprentices

Concessional rates or full exemptions may apply for eligible individuals
This is the student contribution toward the cost of training.
Employer Contribution Fees
Employers may be required to contribute to the cost of training and assessment services.
Interlink Training charges:
- $0.90 per nominal hour, and
- A fixed enrolment fee of $1,500 per apprentice
These fees:
- Are negotiated and agreed with the employer prior to enrolment
- Cover additional training delivery, supervision, administration, and support services
- Are clearly documented in the employer agreement before training commences
Important Information
- The student co-contribution fee is set by the Queensland Government and cannot be increased
- Employer contribution fees are separate and do not replace the student contribution
- Payment arrangements are agreed prior to commencement
- Refunds are provided in accordance with our Refund Policy, including for any additional employer charges where applicable
- Students and employers may be contacted by the Department for feedback on training outcomes
Support Services
Interlink Training provides support throughout your apprenticeship, including:
- Trainer and assessor support
- Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assistance
- Workplace mentoring and guidance
