New short course launched

We are pleased to introduce our new Energy Safe Victoria [ESV] annual compliance training package.

Units covered in this course include:

Work Safely in Vicinity of Live Electrical Apparatus as a Non Electrical Worker (UETDREL006)

Designed to give workers with non-electrical backgrounds the knowledge to stay safe and understand compliance requirements when working near live power sources. Gain an understanding of basic electrical principals, study transmission and distribution, and the fundamentals for working safely near live electrical apparatus.

Prerequisites:
Nil

Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HLTAID009)

Discover how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with ARC guidelines and how to operate automated external defibrillator (AED).

Prerequisites:
Nil

Provide first aid in an ESI environment (UETDRMP010)

Learn how to react quickly and provide the necessary first aid, including basic life support, to take care of the casualty until emergency services personnel arrive. All training is set around the most common emergency situations within the electrical sector with assessment scenarios designed to be as close to real life as possible.

Perform EWP controlled descent escape (UETDRMP004)

Learn skills and knowledge required to perform an elevated work platform (EWP) controlled descent escape in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.

Prerequisites:
Nil

Perform EWP Rescue (UETDRMP005)

Learn skills and knowledge required to perform an elevated work platform (EWP) rescue in the electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.

Nil

Safe Approach Distances - Vegetation Work (Victorian Based)

Discover the minimum distance in air from exposed conductors that shall be maintained by a person, vehicle or mobile plant (including its load, controlling ropes and any other accessories) when approaching electrical apparatus other than for work in accordance with an access authority.

Nil

These Nationally Accredited units align with ESV requirements for Vegetation Management work near overhead powerlines by non-electrical workers in Victoria.

There are two course options when it comes to the Annual ESV Compliance Training:

The initial 2 day session is for those who haven’t undertaken the training before
1 day refresher is for those who have previously completed the initial training.

We are running a special introductory price until 31 October of $795 (GST free) for the initial 2 day session. Price after promotion ends is $850 (GST free).

The cost of the 1 day refresher session is $412.50 (GST inc).
