What is Construction Skills Queensland?
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, not-for-profit, industry funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
CSQ (as BCITF (Qld) Limited) is funded by a statutory training levy established under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991. The levy is charged on all building and construction work performed in Queensland with a cost of $150,000 or more (ex GST). The levy is 0.1% of the cost of the work, and is exclusively an industry contribution for the benefit of the building and construction industry.
CSQ will contribute towards the cost of training provided by CSQ approved Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Providing further training allows the industry to continue to meet quality and safety targets benefiting everyone.
CSQ and Interlink Training
While Interlink Training does not have a general contract to deliver training under CSQ, we have been nominated as an approved supplier for the delivery of UETTDREL14A Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker for a certain set of employers. We are looking to expand our relationship with CSQ in the near future to provide a greater level of service to Queensland employers.
