Traffic Control

Traffic Control training at Interlink

Training delivered in Victoria and Tasmania only.

There are many reasons you might need to control the flow of traffic on the roads. Construction, accidents and planned events are just some disruptions that require traffic management and vehicle control.

Interlink’s traffic control training teaches you to monitor and manage the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians and road workers.

We tailor our training to the licensing, legislative and certification requirements of your industry and give you the confidence to manage traffic flow effectively.

What does Interlink’s Traffic control training include?

Interlink’s training is nationally accredited and includes a combination of theory and practical learning. Our training units include:

RIIWHS205E – Control traffic with stop-slow bat

Learn to direct traffic safely, effectively and efficiently with a stop-slow bat. Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using clear communication and signals.

RIIWHS302E – Implement traffic management plans

Learn to prepare and carry out a traffic guidance scheme to manage the movement of vehicles around road disruptions.

We also offer re-accreditation training every 3 years in line with industry regulations. To enrol in re-accreditation training, you need to supply a copy of your current traffic controller licence or an equivalent interstate licence.

Note: You must be 18 years of age or older and have held a provisional or open driving licence (Australian or Foreign) for at least one year. Working in the traffic control profession requires a clear traffic and criminal record.
