Nationwide training – State based learning

Interlink delivers many training courses that are not only nationally accredited but specifically targeted to meet the regulatory requirements of your State or Territory.

Our Power awareness course gives graduates an industry accredited certificate with a focus on working safely near live electrical infrastructure as well as workplace specific first aid training. It meets the requirements for working in the telecommunications industry or on the NBN.

Our Certificate II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control (UET20321) is a mandatory qualification (in most jurisdictions) for working within vegetation management near live electricity and is required by many councils.

Interlink is also authorised to deliver Chemical/Pest Management training in most jurisdictions across Australia.

Queensland

Electrical Awareness

Interlink is an authorised EsiTrain provider for both Ergon & Energex to deliver:

–        T0911 – Introduction to Electrical Network Infrastructure for Authorised Persons

As from 01st April, the requirements for Energex / Ergon Authorised Persons have changed.

The following units have been superseded by T0911:

  • 4490 Working Safely Near Live Electrical Lines and Apparatus – Ergon
  • M320 Electrical Awareness for Safe Work (OHAW) – Energex
  • M428 Underground Awareness (UGAW)

Also on offer in Queensland:

ACDC Chemical Units

ACDC (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control) includes the theoretical and practical components of two (2) units of competency chosen by the Department of Primary industries to meet skills and knowledge required to be able to apply to hold an ACDC unrestricted Licence.  The units included:

–        AHCCHM307 – Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases

–        AHCCHM304 – Transport and store chemicals

This course is delivered over two (2) days.

EWP Licencing

–        TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)

Our EWP (over 11 metres) course allows you to apply for your high risk work licence with WHS Queensland.  Once you have your high risk licence, you’ll be allowed to safely and legally operate elevated work platforms across a range of industries.

This is a three (3) day course covering 2 days of theory and one (1) day for the licencing assessment.

Tasmania

Pest Management licence units for organisations as determined by the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water & Environment.

Certificate II in ESI as per TasNetwork requirements.

We also offer the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry (VESI) Safe training package as well as competency units that qualify you for a White Card.

For people looking to complete a course as a Spotter with plant and equipment working in the vicinity of overhead electrical assets, we also deliver Course in Workplace Spotting for Service Assets (22597VIC).

Western Australia

Approved to deliver the Basic Weed Management Package for licensed Pest Management technicians as determined by the Department of Health WA.

LV-HV ESI Course as required by the Code of Practice for Personnel Electrical Safety for Vegetation Control Work Near Live Power Lines (as determined by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulations and Safety Building and Energy)
